The Newspaper Club

The Newspaper Club has continued to grow into a lively and important part of life at KPS. Our pupils produce several exciting editions each term, learning every step of the process from the initial article idea to hand-delivered copy of the finished product. Students pitch story ideas, research and write articles, edit each other’s pieces, and create the design and layout in Canva. They then fold, staple and pack every newspaper by hand – a real lesson in pride and workmanship.

Beyond the production work, club members practised real-world skills by taking orders around the school, handling money collections and distributing newspapers to classes. The content inside reflected the season and the school community: features on Winter Holiday Activities, Spring Flowers and The Best Valentine’s Day Chocolates sat alongside interviews with teachers, interns and fellow students, helping us get to know the people who make KPS special.

Miss Fish thoroughly enjoys working with the pupils each week, nurturing their writing, editing and teamwork skills. She is proud of the responsibility, creativity and confidence the Newspaper Club fosters – long may it continue to inform, entertain and bring our school together.
